Hello everyone, I’ve been exploring some interesting challenges and successes in my smart home setup lately. Let me share a bit about my journey and maybe get some feedback from the community!
First, I’ve been working on a project involving an nRF52 development board. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue where the board wouldn’t recover properly, throwing errors -21 and -90. I tried everything from updating firmware to reinstalling drivers, even switching between different operating systems. Despite all these efforts, the issue persisted. It’s been quite the puzzle, but I’m determined to crack it! If anyone has encountered similar issues or has tips, I’d love to hear them.
On a more positive note, I’ve been experimenting with setting up a driveway sensor using my Dakota Alert system and Aeotec dry contact sensor. My goal was to have the outside lights activate when someone approaches, but only during certain times. I initially struggled with the timing settings in SmartThings, but after some research and trial and error, I managed to create a routine that works perfectly. It’s such a satisfying feeling when everything clicks into place!
I’d love to hear about others’ experiences with driveway sensors or any tips they might have for optimizing such setups. Whether it’s about timing, integration with other devices, or creative uses, I’m all ears!
