Recently, I came across Orvibo, a smart home company that’s making waves with their new Matter-compatible products. Their lineup includes the MixPad D1, a smart switch with a full-color display, the Smart Wall Lamp with a pivoted joint for flexible placement, and the Smart Dimmer Switch. While these devices are already available on Amazon, they’re still waiting for the firmware update to fully support Matter.
I decided to give the MixPad D1 a try since it caught my eye with its sleek design and intuitive interface. The installation process was straightforward—just a matter of replacing the old switch. The full-color display is a nice touch, offering clear feedback on the current state of the switch.
One thing I noticed is the potential for these devices to enhance home automation significantly once Matter certification is complete. Being able to seamlessly integrate with other Matter-compatible devices is a huge advantage. I’m particularly excited about the Smart Wall Lamp for its versatility in placement, making it ideal for task lighting or accent lighting in different rooms.
While I’m waiting for the firmware update, I’m experimenting with the current functionality. It’s impressive how these devices can already improve the lighting experience in my home. I’m curious to see how they’ll perform once Matter compatibility is fully enabled.
Would love to hear from others who have tried these products or are planning to! Let’s discuss your experiences and thoughts on Orvibo’s new offerings!
