As a passionate gardener and tech enthusiast, I’ve been experimenting with outdoor plant lighting to support my indoor seedlings before transferring them outside in March. I recently came across the Govee outdoor plant lights and was intrigued by their potential. However, I wanted to share some insights based on my biology background regarding plant photoperiodism.
Most plants require a period of darkness to bloom, and it’s the duration of darkness, not light, that triggers blooming. This means that while lighting is essential, it’s equally important to ensure plants receive adequate darkness. I’d love to hear how others are using outdoor plant lights and if they’ve noticed any effects on plant blooming.
Additionally, I’d be thrilled if Govee considered releasing an indoor grow light. My townhouse lacks sufficient windows, making it challenging to grow my numerous houseplants. If anyone has tips on optimizing indoor grow lights or experiences with current models, I’d appreciate hearing about them!
