Exploring Philips Hue Festavia Control Options: A User’s Journey

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with the Philips Hue Festavia lights and see if anyone else has tackled the same challenge. I recently installed these beautiful lights in my living room, and I’m absolutely in love with how they enhance the ambiance. However, I’ve been trying to figure out a way to control each section of the Festavia individually, similar to how it’s done in the Hue app. In Home Assistant, I can only control the entire light as one entity, which is a bit limiting for my needs.

I’ve spent some time exploring the settings and integrations, and while I haven’t found a perfect solution yet, I wanted to share my findings and see if anyone else has a workaround. For instance, in the Hue app, there are three distinct sections that can be adjusted separately, which is fantastic for creating layered lighting effects. But in Home Assistant, it’s all treated as a single entity, which means I can’t tweak each section independently.

I’ve considered reaching out to the Home Assistant community to see if there’s a way to map each section to a separate entity, but I’m not sure where to start. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I’d love to hear if there’s a clever way to achieve this level of control within Home Assistant. Maybe there’s a custom integration or a workaround that I haven’t discovered yet.

In the meantime, I’m enjoying the overall performance of the Festavia lights. They’re incredibly bright, and the color accuracy is stunning. It’s just a matter of unlocking that extra layer of control to make the most of their potential. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, I’d be more than grateful to hear them. Let’s keep the conversation going and see if we can find a solution together!

Thanks in advance for your insights and support. Happy lighting!
