I recently came across the topic of migrating from ISY994i to Polisy, but I’m more curious about whether it’s possible—and beneficial—to integrate Polisy into an existing ISY994 environment. My setup is mostly Insteon-based with a few Z-Wave devices, and while everything works smoothly, updating firmware on the Z-Wave devices can be a bit of a hassle. I remember hearing about a method to failover their configurations to another controller, which got me wondering if Polisy could play a role in simplifying this process.
I own both systems, but Polisy is still sitting in its box. If integrating them isn’t feasible, I’d love to understand what additional value Polisy could bring to my setup, especially since my current devices are limited to lights, motion sensors, and leak detectors. I don’t have any weather monitoring or external sensors, so I’m curious about how Polisy could enhance my existing setup without overcomplicating things.
If anyone has experience with a dual ISY994 and Polisy setup or can shed light on Polisy’s unique benefits for my use case, I’d greatly appreciate the insights!
