Exploring Precision Temperature Sensors for Home Automation

I’ve been diving into the world of home automation lately, and one thing that’s been on my mind is finding the perfect temperature sensor. Precision is key for me, especially since I’m working on a project that requires accurate readings down to 0.3°C. I’ve recently purchased two Qingping Temperature Sensors (Thread), but unfortunately, they only transmit temperature changes of at least 0.5°C, which doesn’t quite cut it for my needs.

I stumbled upon an old thread from April 2021 discussing wireless temperature sensors with frequent updates, and I’m curious to know what options have become available in the past few years. I’d ideally like something that’s either WiFi or Thread-based, or even pluggable via an Ethernet port. Powering it over USB is a bonus, but I’d prefer something that only requires inserting a battery since I’m not familiar with soldering boards.

If anyone has any recommendations or insights, I’d be thrilled to hear about your experiences! Whether it’s a sensor you’ve found to be reliable or any tips on achieving high precision in temperature readings, I’m all ears. Let’s explore this together and see what solutions we can come up with! :thermometer:
