After running openHAB 1 on a Mac mini for nearly five years, I’ve noticed some stability issues with macOS, which seems to be getting closer to Windows in terms of needing frequent reboots to maintain performance. Has anyone had experience running openHAB 2 on QNAP Container Station as a Docker image? Theoretically, it should work smoothly, but practice often tells a different story. I have a few USB devices like Z-Wave, RFXCOM, and some USB-to-RS232/RS485 adapters, which might cause compatibility issues. Additionally, UPnP didn’t work with Docker for Mac due to the --net=host flag not behaving as expected. Before investing, I’d appreciate any insights or alternative suggestions. Should I consider installing Linux on my Mac mini instead? I’m eager to hear from those who’ve tried similar setups or have recommendations for a seamless transition to openHAB 2.
