Exploring Raspberry Pi and Fibaro Integration: A Smart Home Journey

Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts! I’m thrilled to share my recent adventures in the world of Raspberry Pi and Fibaro integration. As a newbie to this fascinating realm, I’ve been exploring how to set up my Raspberry Pi without a monitor, which I know is possible but has been a bit confusing with all the conflicting information out there. Have any of you successfully done this with the latest Raspbian version? I’d love to hear your tips and tricks!

Another project I’ve been diving into is integrating my Fibaro FGBS-222 sensors with my ISY controller. I’ve noticed that only three nodes are showing up, but I know there should be more for each input and I/O channel. Is there a specific setup or firmware version that I need to ensure compatibility? I’m eager to get all the nodes working to fully utilize this device’s potential.

On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with weather monitoring for multiple cities. It’s been a fun challenge figuring out how to pull data for five cities at once. If anyone has a clever workaround or automation idea, I’m all ears!

Lastly, I stumbled upon a neat feature for Apple Watch users. I’ve been trying to get my smart home app to display on the watch screen, not just through widgets. While I’ve found a workaround by keeping it in the search bar, I’m curious if there’s a more seamless way to integrate it directly. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

This journey has been both exciting and a bit overwhelming, but I’m loving every moment of it. The support and knowledge shared in this community are invaluable, and I can’t wait to contribute more as I learn. Thanks in advance for your help and advice!
