Exploring RGB Color Temperature Automation and Smart Lighting Solutions

Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and automation lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. :star2:

First off, I’ve been experimenting with RGB+CCT LED controllers to automate the color temperature of my white lights. It’s amazing how much of an impact this can have on the ambiance of a room! I’ve set up manual controls in Home Assistant and Z2M, but I’m curious about automating this process further. Specifically, I’d love to integrate my remote controller’s plus and minus buttons to smoothly adjust the color temperature between preset max and min values. Does anyone have tips on how to achieve this? I’ve tried using the light service for brightness adjustments, but I’m not quite there yet with color temperature. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :bulb:

On another note, I’ve been exploring the use of Raspberry Pi setups to enhance signal strength for my electric gate controls. With the help of an external antenna and a USB battery pack, I’m hoping to create a more reliable system that integrates seamlessly with Home Assistant. It’s been a fun DIY project, and I’m excited to see how it turns out! :rocket:

I’d also like to highlight the supportive community we have here. It’s incredible how many resources and tutorials are available, like the detailed guide on mounting a Shelly PM Mini Gen 3 for energy monitoring. If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend it! :raised_hands:

Lastly, I’ve been blown away by the creativity of some projects, like the retro Robosapien upgrade with a Raspberry Pi. It’s a great reminder of how much fun and innovation can come from combining old and new technologies. Kudos to the creator! :robot:

If anyone has tips on integrating different lighting systems, automating temperature controls, or enhancing signal strength, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Let’s keep the ideas flowing and continue to learn from each other. Happy automating! :rocket:
