Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of RGB lighting lately and wanted to share my experiences and some questions I have. I recently received an RGB LED strip from a friend, and I’m excited to integrate it into my smart home setup. However, I’ve run into a bit of a puzzle. The strip seems to be 230V AC powered, which means I can’t use my Fibaro system to control it. It also has an IR receiver connected to an adapter. Does anyone have experience with integrating AC-powered RGB strips into a smart home system? I’d love to hear your tips and tricks!
Another thing I’ve been curious about is whether AC-powered RGBW strips generally offer better brightness compared to their DC counterparts. I’ve heard mixed opinions, and I’d appreciate any insights or experiences shared by the community.
On a lighter note, I’ve also been exploring Govee products, and I must say, they’ve been a delightful addition to my setup. Their scenic DreamView devices are absolutely stunning, and the RGBWW strip lights have completely transformed my outdoor lighting. It’s amazing how these affordable yet high-quality products have become so popular! I’ve even gifted some to my niece, and she was thrilled with them. I can’t wait to try out more Govee products in the future.
Lastly, I’ve been brainstorming ideas for using RGB strips to light up my home’s facade. I’d love to create a vibrant outdoor display, but I’m not entirely sure about the best approach. Are there specific controllers or adapters that work well for outdoor use? Any recommendations or success stories would be incredibly helpful!
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences! ![]()
