I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! One of the things that caught my attention is the ability to mix and match different types of lighting controllers and bulbs. I recently acquired an RGBW controller from Fibaro, and I’m in the process of connecting it to some RGBW strip lights in my kitchen. It’s been a lot of fun experimenting with the color combinations and brightness levels—truly a creative outlet!
However, I’ve run into a bit of a puzzle. I also want to add some cabinet lights to the same setup, but I’m struggling to find RGBW puck lights that fit my needs. I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to use regular RGB or even just white puck lights instead. From what I understand, RGB lights can still be linked to the same controller, but I’m not entirely sure how the settings would interact. Would the RGB lights just stay on regardless of the RGBW settings? Or would they adjust based on the controller’s current configuration? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s successfully mixed RGB and RGBW devices in their setup—any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been exploring some of the newer smart lighting features, like color transitions and scenes. It’s amazing how a simple change in color can completely transform the ambiance of a room. I’ve even started creating custom scenes for different times of the day—warmer tones in the evening and cooler tones during the day. It’s these little touches that make smart lighting so special!
If anyone has any recommendations for reliable RGB or RGBW puck lights, or tips on how to seamlessly integrate them into an existing setup, I’d be thrilled to hear about them. Happy lighting!
