Exploring Roller Blind Automation with Sonoff Devices

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and one of my latest projects has been trying to automate my roller blinds using Sonoff devices. It’s been an exciting journey, but also a bit of a puzzle to figure out the right setup. Let me share what I’ve learned and where I’m stuck, just in case someone out there has some tips or tricks to share!

So, here’s the setup: I have a roller blind with a built-in receiver. Unlike some other systems I’ve seen, this one doesn’t have forward and reverse cables. Instead, it has Live, Earth, Neutral, and a pair of control cables that act as a pulse switch. When I pulse it, the blind goes down, and another pulse brings it back up. Pretty straightforward, right? But the challenge comes in automating this with a Sonoff device.

I’ve tried using both the Sonoff MiniR4 and DualR3, but neither seems to work quite right. I’m not entirely sure if it’s a configuration issue or if I need a different approach altogether. Maybe I’m missing something in the wiring or the setup within the app. If anyone has successfully automated a similar setup, I’d love to hear about your experience!

On a positive note, I’ve learned a lot about how these devices communicate and the importance of getting the wiring just right. It’s been a great learning experience, even if the automation part is still eluding me. I’m hopeful that with a bit more tweaking and maybe some guidance from the community, I’ll have my blinds smoothly integrated into my smart home setup.

If you’ve tackled something similar or have any advice, please drop a comment! I’m all ears and would be thrilled to hear from others who’ve walked this path before me. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out on this smart home journey! :rocket:
