I’ve set up 7 Wyze Cams v2 in my home, aiming to integrate them into a more secure and privacy-focused system using Blue Iris. However, I’ve encountered some challenges that have me puzzled. Despite having each camera on a dedicated subnet with VLANs and strong Wi-Fi signals, I consistently face issues where the RTSP feed drops, leading to ‘No Signal’ errors in Blue Iris. Strangely, the Wyze app works flawlessly, streaming all cameras without any hiccups. This inconsistency makes me wonder if there’s something I’m missing in the setup or if RTSP is intentionally limited by Wyze. I’ve heard others mention using OpenIPC or custom firmware to improve stability, but the reduced resolution is a trade-off I’m not entirely comfortable with.
