Exploring Samsung TV Integration in OpenHAB

Hi all, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation with OpenHAB, and it’s been an exciting journey! I recently set up my Samsung UE55MU6179U TV with the OpenHAB Samsung TV binding, and while most features work seamlessly, I’ve encountered a small hiccup that I’d love to get some advice on.\The issue is with changing the input source on my TV. I’ve configured the items and channels correctly, but when I try to switch to a different HDMI input, it doesn’t seem to work. The channel logs show an error that the sourceName channel isn’t supported. I’ve tried using the PaperUI interface and even mapped the source selection in my sitemap, but the TV just doesn’t switch to the desired HDMI input.\This is a bit frustrating because I have a PS4 connected to HDMI1, and it would be fantastic to automate switching to that input when the PS4 is powered on. I’ve also noticed that other functions like volume control and power toggling work perfectly, so it’s not a connectivity issue.\I’m wondering if there’s a workaround or a different approach to control the input source. Maybe using key codes instead of direct sourceName commands? I’ve seen some examples where sending specific key codes can simulate button presses on the TV remote. If that’s possible, it might be a way to bypass the unsupported channel issue.\On a positive note, I’ve been impressed with how OpenHAB integrates with various devices, and the community support has been invaluable. I’m hopeful that with a bit more tweaking, I can get this TV integration working smoothly.\If anyone has successfully set up source switching on their Samsung TV with OpenHAB, I’d love to hear your setup and any tips you might have! Thanks in advance for your insights. Let’s keep the smart home magic flowing! :rocket:
