I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey. One thing that’s really piqued my interest is how to seamlessly integrate devices from different brands into a cohesive system. I’ve got a mix of Philips Hue lights, a Shelly Plug, and even some Govee LED strips, and I’m curious to know how others manage to get everything working together like a well-oiled machine. 
For instance, I recently set up my Philips Hue bulbs to automatically dim when I turn off my Shelly Plug-connected TV. It’s such a small thing, but it makes a world of difference in terms of convenience. I’m now thinking about expanding this to include my Govee strips for some ambient lighting effects when I’m winding down for the night. 
But here’s where I hit a snag—I’m not entirely sure how to create a routine that involves multiple devices from different brands without everything feeling a bit disjointed. Does anyone have tips on how to ensure smooth communication between these devices? Maybe some best practices for setting up automations that span across ecosystems? 
I’d also love to hear about any creative ways others have integrated their multi-brand setups. Have you managed to create a scenario where, say, your lights adjust based on your TV’s power status, or perhaps your Govee strips change color in sync with your Hue bulbs?
