Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to share my journey with Shelly devices and Home Assistant. As someone who’s been exploring the world of smart home automation, I’ve found Shelly devices to be incredibly versatile and reliable. However, integrating them into Home Assistant wasn’t as straightforward as I hoped.
Initially, I was using the ‘shelly for hass’ integration, but I noticed it wasn’t detecting all my Shelly devices—only about 18 out of 120. This was quite puzzling, especially since I wanted to fully leverage the capabilities of my Shelly setup. After some research, I realized that the default integration might not be the best fit for my needs.
I decided to try removing the ‘shelly for hass’ integration and switch to the official Shelly integration provided by Home Assistant. This change made a significant difference! Now, all my Shelly devices are detected and integrated seamlessly. It was a bit of a learning curve, but the process taught me a lot about how integrations work in Home Assistant.
For anyone else facing similar issues, here’s a quick tip: Always check the official documentation and community forums before diving into custom integrations. Sometimes, the solution is simpler than it seems. I’m now able to control my Shelly devices effortlessly, and it’s been a fantastic experience.
Thank you to the Home Assistant community for your invaluable support and resources. It’s amazing how a supportive community can make such a difference in the learning process. Happy automating everyone! ![]()
