Hello everyone, I’m thrilled to share my recent journey with Shelly devices and their app functionalities. As a new user, I’ve been exploring the differences between the Premium and non-Premium versions of the Shelly app, and I thought it would be helpful to jot down my findings and experiences.
First off, I wanted to clarify some common questions about the non-Premium app. From what I’ve gathered, it does allow you to manage all your Shelly actors and view energy consumption data, including current, monthly, and yearly usage. That’s pretty handy for keeping track of your energy habits without needing the Premium version.
Now, regarding the scene management, it seems the non-Premium app limits you to 5 scenes. But here’s the good news: you can still control each Shelly actor individually, which is great for those who prefer a more hands-on approach. I’ve been experimenting with this feature, and it’s been surprisingly intuitive.
Another topic that came up was whether Shelly actors can be controlled via a Fritzbox with a Zigbee gateway. From my research and some trial runs, the answer is yes! It’s a seamless integration once everything is set up correctly.
One thing I’d love to hear more about is everyone’s experience with scene management. How do you organize your scenes? Do you find the 5-scene limit restrictive, or do you manage just fine with it? I’d also love to hear if anyone has tips on optimizing energy usage with Shelly devices.
Lastly, I’m curious about how others handle the transition between Premium and non-Premium features. Have you noticed any significant differences in functionality beyond the obvious scene limit? I’d appreciate any insights or recommendations!
Thank you all in advance for your thoughts and experiences. Let’s keep the conversation flowing!
Best regards,
Andy
