I recently purchased a Blink Outdoor 4 camera and a Sync Module, and I’m planning to place it inside a nest box. My question is, how long can I reasonably expect the batteries to last, given that inside a nest box full of rowdy chicks the camera might get 200-300 motion triggers each day? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance!
UPDATE My batteries lasted 7 days! See below in comments for particulars.
Another user shared their experience with setting up a motion detection schedule on V3. They mentioned that on V2 it was easy, but on V3 it appears that it’s necessary to use Rules. They want to set one V3 to start detection at sunset and end at sunrise. They’ve done everything they can, but it’s not working. Perhaps they’re doing it incorrectly, but they’ve tried all the methods they’ve read about. It’s probably them, but so far nothing works. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
I’ve been thinking about integrating a Shelly Plus Plug S into my ESPHOME setup. I can’t find example configuration code for it on www.esphome-devices.com. It’s a new Shelly device which has an RGB LED ring… Can someone help me integrate it into ESPHOME to get everything to work like on older devices (Shelly Plug S)? I opened it and there are no pins to use a flashtool on it. I have a VoltLink CP2102N. Any suggestions on how to flash it with ESPHOME… Thanks for any help and suggestions!
I’m also curious about the use of MAX Cul Binding for heating systems. I currently have a CUL device connecting them to my computer. I’ve installed the MAX CUL binding, but it lists only NEST device types rather than MAX device types. Thanks Alan.
