Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart cameras lately, and I wanted to share my experiences and some questions I’ve come across. I recently purchased a Wyze Sense starter kit, and while I’m impressed with its features, I’ve noticed an issue with the detection zone functionality. After installing the Wyze Sense module on one of my cameras, I can no longer adjust the detection zone—it just shows a black screen. I’ve tried rebooting and updating the firmware, but no luck so far. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or do you have any troubleshooting tips? ![]()
On a different note, I’ve been exploring alternatives to subscription-based services for my smart cameras. I’m really interested in the Blink system, but I’m trying to figure out what features are available without a subscription. I’ve heard that local storage on a Sync Module is possible, but I’m not entirely sure how that affects features like thumbnail previews or live viewing. If anyone has experience using Blink without a subscription, I’d love to hear about your setup and any limitations you’ve encountered!
Lastly, I’ve been looking into Dahua cameras for my setup. I saw a mention of their live video streaming capabilities, but I’m not entirely sure which models are officially supported. If anyone has experience with Dahua cameras in a smart home ecosystem, I’d appreciate any insights or recommendations!
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you all! ![]()
