Exploring Smart Camera Timelapse Settings for Optimal Video Playback

Hi everyone! I recently purchased a Wyze Cam V3 and decided to experiment with its timelapse feature. I’m really excited about the possibilities it offers for capturing time-lapse videos of my garden, but I’m a bit puzzled about the best way to set it up for long-term recording.

I inserted a 32GB micro SD card into the camera and started by testing both the ‘Continuous’ and ‘Events Only’ recording modes. However, I noticed that in both modes, there’s a message indicating that when the SD card is full, the video files will be overwritten. This is a bit concerning because I want the recording to stop when the SD card reaches its capacity, rather than overwriting the existing footage.

I’m wondering if there’s a way to configure the settings so that the camera stops recording once the SD card is full. I’ve tried searching online for solutions, but I haven’t found a clear answer yet. Has anyone else encountered this issue or have any tips on how to resolve it?

I’m also curious about the differences between the ‘Continuous’ and ‘Events Only’ modes in terms of file management and SD card usage. Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to hearing from you all. Thanks in advance for your help!
