Exploring Smart Circuit Breakers for Energy Monitoring

I’m excited to share my recent experience with smart circuit breakers for energy monitoring in my home. After setting up smart circuit breakers for the Energy Dashboard, I noticed that each breaker is assigned to specific circuits or rooms, which is incredibly helpful for tracking energy usage. However, I encountered a minor issue where the short names assigned to each breaker in the meter cabinet didn’t provide enough context when viewing the energy overview.

To address this, I thought it would be fantastic if there was a way to add a remark or additional title next to each source designation. This would make it easier to quickly identify which room or consumer corresponds to each circuit breaker at a glance.

After some research, I found that while this feature isn’t natively supported, there might be workarounds or custom solutions available. I’m curious if others have faced similar challenges or have found innovative ways to enhance the clarity of their energy dashboards. Sharing tips or custom configurations would be invaluable for the community!

Overall, I’m thrilled with how much insight the Energy Dashboard provides, and I’m looking forward to finding a solution to this small tweak that would make it even more user-friendly.
