I’ve been diving into the world of smart energy meters and MQTT integration, and I wanted to share my experiences and questions with the community. Currently, I have a smart energy meter pushing electricity data to my MQTT broker, which I display using the DSMR addon in Home Assistant. However, I’m curious about expanding my setup by adding a second smart energy meter for electricity. Is it possible to connect a second meter to the same MQTT broker? Additionally, would it be feasible to create a second instance of the DSMR integration to handle the new data stream? I’m excited about the possibilities this could open up for monitoring and analysis, but I’m not entirely sure how to proceed. Any insights or guidance from experienced users would be greatly appreciated!
