Hey everyone!
I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I’m currently exploring how to integrate my DC ceiling fans into Home Assistant. These fans are operated with RF remotes, and while they work perfectly on their own, I’d love to have them seamlessly integrated into my smart home setup. ![]()

I’ve come across a few options, like the Sonoff iFan, but they seem to be designed for AC fans, which doesn’t quite fit my setup. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with DC fan controllers that work with Z-Wave or Zigbee. If not, maybe an RF bridge could work, but I’m concerned about synchronization issues since some fan features toggle on and off with the same remote button. ![]()

I’ve also considered reaching out to manufacturers to see if there are any custom solutions or if they have plans to develop DC-compatible controllers. It would be amazing to have a unified system where I can control all my fans, lights, and other devices from one platform. ![]()
If anyone has tackled a similar project or has any tips, I’d love to hear about your experiences! Let’s brainstorm together and see if we can find a solution that works for DC fans. Thanks in advance for your help! ![]()
