As a smart home enthusiast, I’ve recently been diving into the world of home automation, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey! I’ve been experimenting with integrating various devices into my system, and Govee products have been a standout in my setup. Their lights, in particular, have added a whole new dimension to my home’s ambiance. However, as much as I love my Govee products, I’ve encountered some quirks with Google’s automation features. It’s like Google has a mind of its own sometimes! 
One of the most fascinating projects I’ve undertaken is setting up a smart door lock system. I’ve got an ESP32 CAM with human detection software, and it’s working beautifully. The next challenge is finding the perfect door opener that works seamlessly with ZigBee or Wi-Fi. If anyone has experience with such hardware, I’d love to hear your recommendations! 
Another area I’ve been exploring is energy management. The energy dashboard I use updates hourly, but I can’t help but wonder if it would be more efficient to have real-time updates. Imagine being able to track energy usage as it happens, rather than waiting for the hour to roll over. I’ve also faced some technical hurdles, like recurring MQTT connection issues. It’s frustrating when devices stop communicating, especially when the logs point to device ID conflicts. I’m curious if others have encountered this and how they resolved it. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
