After some trial and error, I found a model that worked perfectly. I’ve also been experimenting with Shelly dimmers and switches. They’ve been a game-changer for automating my lighting and appliances. However, I’ve noticed that sometimes the dimmers flicker when controlling certain LED lights. I’m curious if others have experienced this and if there’s a solution to eliminate the flickering. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

One of my favorite projects has been setting up smart lighting automation. Using Hyperion, I’ve created vibrant color schemes that change based on the time of day or my mood. However, I’ve encountered an issue where the lights start in white mode instead of my preferred full-color mood blobs. For those looking to integrate multiple devices, I highly recommend using the Room Lighting App for scheduling. It’s incredibly intuitive, and I’ve set up my lights to turn on 30 minutes before sunset and off 30 minutes after sunrise. It’s been a great way to save energy while maintaining comfort.
Looking Ahead
I’m currently exploring the possibility of adding outdoor string lights from Govee for seasonal decorations. I’m curious if anyone has experience with their products and if they’re worth the investment. Also, I’m considering upgrading my weather station to better track outdoor conditions, but I’m not sure which sensors would provide the most accurate data.
