Hi everyone, I’m thrilled to share my latest project and some thoughts on smart home automation. I’ve been diving into the world of tracking water and propane usage, and it’s been both challenging and rewarding.
I recently moved into a rural property and decided to set up a system to monitor our water and propane consumption. After some research, I came across the EKM Metering bundle, which seems perfect for my needs. I’m considering using an ESP32 or NodeMCU with ESPHome to connect these meters.
One thing I’m unsure about is whether there are existing solutions for tracking water usage without adding a separate meter. I’m also curious if anyone has experience with propane tank monitoring without modifying the tank itself. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
On a lighter note, my journey into smart home automation has been quite an adventure.
