One of the most exciting parts of this journey has been setting up automations. I’ve been using Home Assistant with an NGINX reverse proxy to handle SSL, which has been a bit of a challenge but also a great learning experience. Initially, I encountered a 400 Bad Request error, but after tweaking the proxy settings, everything started working smoothly. Here’s a quick tip: ensure your proxy configuration correctly handles both HTTP and HTTPS traffic!
Smart Lighting and Customization
Another area I’ve been exploring is smart lighting. I’ve been experimenting with Govee bulbs and their color-changing capabilities. It’s amazing how a simple adjustment in color can completely transform the ambiance of a room. I’ve also been trying to create custom scenes using virtual switches and time-based triggers—it’s a bit trial and error, but the results are worth it!
