Exploring Smart Home Automation with Aqara & Broadlink

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation recently, and I must say, it’s been quite an exciting journey! :rocket: I recently switched to the Aqara W500 underfloor heating thermostat after experiencing some connectivity issues with my previous setup. So far, the Aqara version has been working like a charm, but I can’t help but wonder—does anyone know if there’s a way to input my electricity price into the app? I see all sorts of graphs with my kWh usage, but without knowing the actual cost, it’s a bit meaningless. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! :bulb:

On another note, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate multiple smart home devices from different brands. The Broadlink RM4 Mini, for instance, seems like a fantastic addition for IR control, but I’m curious if there’s native support for it within the Broadlink component, similar to how the RM3 is supported. If anyone has any tips or workarounds, I’d love to hear them! :hammer_and_wrench:

I’ve also been experimenting with optimizing my home’s energy usage. For instance, setting up a smart chicken door using an ESP8266 and relay board has been a fun project. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m hopeful it’ll become a reliable system soon. :chicken:

Lastly, I’ve been impressed by the community’s creativity in developing custom solutions, like the music overlay app for Android TV. It’s inspiring to see how people are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with smart home tech. :headphones:

If anyone has tips on maximizing the sensitivity of smart sensors or optimizing automation scripts, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Happy automating! :star2:
