Exploring Smart Home Automation with Blink and Shelly

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! :rocket: One of the devices I’ve been really impressed with is the Blink Outdoor Camera. It’s been a game-changer for keeping an eye on my property, especially with its night vision and motion alerts. However, I did run into a bit of a snag with the subscription plan. Initially, I was promised a free year of the Blink Subscription Plus Plan after a replacement, but when I tried to redeem it, it kept showing $30 instead of free. After some digging and reaching out to support, I finally got it sorted out! :tada:

Another device that’s been on my mind lately is the Shelly Pro 3EM. I’ve been using it to monitor energy consumption in my home, and it’s been incredibly helpful. However, I recently had an issue where I accidentally deleted my InfluxDB, which was storing all the data from the Shelly. Luckily, I found a way to retrieve the data through the Shelly’s web app, but I’m still trying to make sense of all the columns in the dataset. If anyone has tips on interpreting the data, I’d be super grateful!

On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with setting up smart lighting automations using my TP-Link Kasa devices. It’s amazing how a simple setup can completely transform the ambiance of a room. I’ve even managed to integrate them with my routine schedules, so the lights dim automatically when I watch movies or brighten up when it’s time to get ready in the morning. It’s these little touches that make living in a smart home feel like something out of a sci-fi movie! :star2:

If anyone has tips on optimizing these devices or has faced similar challenges, I’d love to hear your experiences. Let’s keep the smart home revolution going! :bulb::sparkles:
