Exploring Smart Home Automation with Govee and OpenHAB

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! :rocket: I recently set up a few Govee devices in my home, and they’ve really transformed the way I interact with my living space. The 3D Hexa panels are absolutely stunning, and I love how customizable they are. It’s like having a personal light show every time I walk into the room! :bulb::sparkles:

One thing I’ve been experimenting with is integrating these devices with my OpenHAB setup. I’ve managed to get my rollershutters to open at sunrise, but I’d love to add a bit more flexibility. I came across this thread where someone mentioned adjusting the time using a Basic UI input. That sounds perfect for my needs! :sun_with_face: If I could type in a value like 90 minutes after sunrise, it would make things so much easier. Does anyone have experience with this kind of setup?

I also wanted to share a quick tip for anyone looking to simplify their smart home setup. I recently discovered how to use a simple temperature alert without needing additional devices. It’s been a lifesaver for keeping my home at the perfect temperature year-round. :thermometer:

On a different note, I’ve been trying to figure out how to integrate my Google Nest Wifi mesh points as speakers for text-to-speech announcements. I’ve set them up, but I’m still struggling with getting the announcements to work smoothly. If anyone has any insights or tricks, I’d be thrilled to hear them! :headphones::loud_sound:

Overall, the smart home ecosystem is so vast and full of possibilities. I’m really enjoying exploring all the different ways to make my home smarter and more convenient. If you have any favorite devices or setups, I’d love to hear about them in the comments! :handshake:
