Hey everyone! I’m really excited to share my journey with smart home automation, especially after diving into Govee lights and Vera Edge. I’ve been experimenting with setting up scenes and automations, and it’s been a fascinating experience. Let me walk you through some of the highlights and tips I’ve picked up along the way. 
First off, I’ve been absolutely blown away by the Govee Strip Light 2 Pro. The vibrant colors and smooth transitions have completely transformed my living space. I’ve integrated them into my Vera Edge setup, creating dynamic scenes that adapt to different moods and times of day. For instance, in the morning, the lights gradually warm up to simulate sunrise, helping me start the day feeling more awake. At night, they dim to a cozy amber hue, creating a relaxing atmosphere. It’s like having a personal lighting assistant! 
One thing I wanted to share is a little tip for anyone struggling with scene automation. I found that manually triggering scenes on the Govee app and then syncing them with Vera Edge made the process much smoother. This way, I could ensure that each scene worked perfectly before setting them to trigger automatically. Plus, the ability to turn off scenes directly from Vera Edge was a game-changer for me. It added a layer of control I hadn’t expected, making the whole setup feel more polished. 
I also wanted to touch on my experience with Vera Edge itself. Upgrading from VeraLite to VeraPlus was a breeze, and the UI improvements were a huge plus. Creating scenes became almost second nature, and the speed of the new unit was a welcome upgrade. However, I did run into a few bumps along the way, especially with some third-party apps like VeraAlerts. The learning curve was a bit steep, but with some research and experimentation, I managed to get everything working seamlessly. 
Another thing I’ve been exploring is integrating my smart home setup with mobile device alarms. I’m thinking of creating a flow where my blinds open 10 minutes before my alarm goes off, ensuring a gradual wake-up process. It’s all about making my mornings a bit more enjoyable and less rushed. On the topic of notifications, I’ve been working with the MH-Z19C sensor to monitor air quality. While it’s been reliable, I’ve noticed that the values can fluctuate quite a bit, especially at night. This has led to a lot of unnecessary alerts. I’d love to hear if anyone has strategies to reduce these false notifications or improve the sensor’s accuracy.
