I’ve recently started my journey into the world of smart home automation with the Homey Pro, and it’s been an exciting adventure! 
I wanted to share my experiences and some tips I’ve picked up along the way, in case they can help others who are just starting out or looking to enhance their setup.
First off, I’ve been experimenting with both standard and advanced flows. While I found the standard flows straightforward to set up, I was initially a bit overwhelmed by the advanced flows. After some digging, I realized that advanced flows offer so much more flexibility and power for creating complex automations. If you haven’t explored them yet, I highly recommend giving them a try! They’ve really taken my setup to the next level.
One of the challenges I faced was integrating devices from different brands. I have a mix of Zigbee, Z-Wave, and Wi-Fi devices, and getting them all to work seamlessly together was a bit of a puzzle at first. However, with some research and the help of the community, I discovered that using the right hubs and repeaters can make a huge difference in ensuring reliable communication between devices.
Another area I’ve been focusing on is energy management. I’ve set up some basic rules to monitor and control my energy usage, like adjusting heating based on occupancy and time of day. It’s been great to see the impact these small changes can have on both convenience and efficiency.
