Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been quite an exciting journey. I recently set up a KNX system to monitor the power consumption of my induction stove, but I’ve encountered a bit of a puzzle that I’m hoping the community can help me solve.
So, here’s the situation: I have three power values being monitored—AC current with three phases. The issue arises when the stove is in standby mode. While P1 shows 0 watts, P2 and P3 are hovering around 80 watts. I want to automate this so that if P1 is 0 watts, P2 and P3 should also reset to 0 watts. Otherwise, they should remain as they are. I’m thinking of using a template and the new sensor integration in Home Assistant, but I’m not entirely sure how to modify the main value before it gets used in HA. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with motion sensors and the Day-Night Plug-in. I set up a program to turn on my outdoor lights for 10 minutes when motion is detected, following the user manual’s logic. It worked like a charm yesterday, but tonight, it’s not responding as expected. The status report shows that the AutoOn condition isn’t going true, even though everything seems to be in order. I’m a bit puzzled here. Has anyone else faced similar issues or have insights into what might be going wrong?
I’d love to hear from those who’ve successfully integrated KNX systems or worked extensively with motion sensors and automations. Your experiences and solutions could be invaluable as I continue to tweak and refine my setup. Thanks in advance for your help and insights!
