Exploring Smart Home Automation with LANAnnouncer and Energy Dashboards

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. I recently installed the LANAnnouncer on my Android phone, and it’s been a great tool for keeping track of my devices. However, I’ve noticed that the siren function occasionally silences itself, even though the notifications still show up. I’ve checked my volume settings, and everything seems to be working fine, but the sound just stops after a while. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or do you have any tips on how to troubleshoot it? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Another project I’ve been working on is setting up energy dashboards using template power sensors. I’ve got a FritzBox router, and I wanted to track the standby power usage. I followed some online guides to set up the sensors, but I’m having trouble getting the energy integration to work properly. The syntax seems correct, but the energy dashboard isn’t displaying the data as expected. I’ve attached a screenshot of the issue below, but I’m not sure if it’s a configuration problem or something else. If anyone has successfully set up something similar, I’d really appreciate any advice or resources you could share!

On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with Highlight Mode on my smart devices, and it’s been a lot of fun to customize the colors and effects. I’ve even tried syncing it with my favorite anime themes, which adds a whole new level of immersion to my entertainment setup. It’s amazing how a little bit of customization can really transform the experience!

Lastly, I’ve been looking into integrating a Honeywell T5+ Wifi thermostat into my smart home ecosystem. I’ve heard great things about it, but I’m not entirely sure how to connect it since it uses the Honeywell Home platform instead of TCC. I’ve come across some community-created drivers, but I’m not sure how reliable they are or if there’s an official integration in the works. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear about your setup and any tips you might have!

Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of exploring and customizing my smart home. It’s a fantastic community, and I’m grateful for all the resources and support available. Keep the ideas and advice coming—I can’t wait to learn more and try out new projects!
