Exploring Smart Home Automation with NFC and Sonoff

As a homeowner, I’ve always been fascinated by the potential of smart home automation to simplify daily tasks and enhance comfort. Recently, I’ve been experimenting with integrating multiple NFC readers into my Raspberry Pi setup running Home Assistant. While the idea of using NFC for tasks like unlocking doors or controlling lights is exciting, I’m curious if anyone has successfully connected 10 or more NFC readers to a single Raspberry Pi. The hardware I’m considering is the ETEKJOY ACR122U, but I’m not entirely sure how to handle the software side without third-party apps. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

On a different note, I’ve been using Sonoff Basics to control a water pump, which is triggered by a swimmer switch. However, I’ve encountered issues with the pump cycling on and off due to water reverberation. I’ve tried adding delays within the Sonoff, but it doesn’t seem to solve the problem. I’m wondering if there’s a better way to configure this setup or if there are alternative devices that handle such scenarios more effectively.

It’s amazing how the smart home ecosystem continues to evolve, offering new solutions and challenges. I’m eager to learn from the community’s experiences and tips to optimize my setup. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
