Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I wanted to share my experiences and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. ![]()
Starting off, I’ve been using a mix of Tuya and Xiaomi devices to create a seamless smart home setup. It’s been quite the journey, and I’ve encountered a few bumps along the way, but I’ve managed to work through them. One of the challenges I faced was getting my Xiaomi devices to integrate smoothly with my Tuya ecosystem. After some research, I discovered that using the Xiaomi Miio Integration in Home Assistant was the key to bridging the gap between these two platforms. ![]()
I also wanted to share a quick tip for anyone looking to control their lights using the Nanoleaf Shapes. If you’re having trouble setting up scenes with different brightness levels, I recommend checking out the WebCoRe integration. It’s a fantastic tool for creating custom automations, like dimming your bedside lights over time. For example, you can set your lights to gradually dim from 80% to 10% over the course of half an hour, creating a perfect bedtime routine. ![]()
Another thing I wanted to mention is the importance of firmware updates. I recently upgraded my Shelly devices, and it made a world of difference in terms of performance and reliability. If you’re still on the stock firmware, I highly recommend giving the Shelly Cloud app a try. It’s super user-friendly and makes updating a breeze. ![]()
Lastly, I’d love to hear from others who are using a combination of Tuya and Xiaomi devices. What challenges have you faced? What tips and tricks have you discovered? Let’s keep the conversation going! ![]()
