Exploring Smart Home Camera Setup and Audio Sensitivity Tips

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience setting up smart home cameras and tweaking their audio sensitivity. While I’ve been pretty happy with the overall functionality, there’s been a learning curve, especially with the audio triggers.

I recently installed a pair of Wyzecam V2 cameras, and initially, I set the audio sensitivity to 5%, thinking that it would only trigger in case of extremely loud noises. However, as I noted in an earlier post, even low-level sounds, like a school bus passing by or my granddaughter’s scream, were causing false triggers. It was quite frustrating, especially when it even activated the CO alarm! After some research and adjustments, I found that lowering the sensitivity further and positioning the cameras strategically helped reduce the false triggers.

For those of you setting up outdoor cameras, I’d love to hear your tips on ensuring they work seamlessly without constant false alarms. Also, if anyone has experience with binding Radio Thermostat or setting up sync modules for outdoor cameras, I’d appreciate any insights or troubleshooting advice!

On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with custom holiday light setups using Govee products. The ability to sync lights with music has been a delightful addition to my home entertainment. It’s amazing how these small tweaks can transform the ambiance of a space!

Let’s keep the discussion flowing—share your experiences, tips, or any challenges you’ve overcome with smart home devices. Happy tinkering! :control_knobs::sparkles:
