Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home gadgets lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and challenges. Recently, I installed a new Wyze Doorbell Pro Wired and a few WCO V1 cameras to enhance my home security. While the installation process was straightforward, I’ve encountered a couple of issues that I’m trying to resolve.
First, the Wyze doorbell’s battery isn’t charging properly, even though I followed the installation instructions carefully. I’m wondering if there’s something I missed, like a specific wiring configuration or a setting I need to adjust. If anyone has experience with this, I’d appreciate any tips!
Second, the WCO V1 cameras are triggering motion detection when the night vision IR lights turn on. This is causing false alerts and messing with my automation rules. I’ve tried resetting the cameras, updating the firmware, and even moving them to different base stations, but the issue persists. It’s a bit frustrating, but I’m determined to figure it out!
On a more positive note, I’ve been using Rithum to manage my smart devices, and it’s been a great tool for organizing my scenes and automations. However, I’ve noticed that some variables aren’t updating as expected. I’m curious if there’s a way to force a refresh or if I need to adjust my flow settings.
Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of building my smart home ecosystem, even with the occasional bumps in the road. I’m excited to continue exploring new gadgets and finding solutions to these challenges. If anyone has insights or suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
Cheers,
