Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent experiences with integrating various smart home devices into my ecosystem. It’s been an incredible journey filled with both excitement and a few hurdles along the way. 
One of the most fascinating aspects has been experimenting with Tado and Home Assistant. While Tado’s API updates have introduced some limitations, they’ve also pushed me to explore more creative ways to optimize my setup. I’ve found that using local APIs for devices like my Velux Rolladen has been a great workaround. It’s amazing how much you can achieve with a bit of tweaking and some clever automation rules! 
I’ve also been thoroughly impressed by Govee’s customer service. Their responsiveness and willingness to assist with any issues have made integrating their devices a breeze. The TV Immersion Kit and the Beacon Camping Lantern are absolute game-changers, and their support team deserves a huge shoutout for their dedication! 
On the automation front, I’ve been tinkering with Shelly devices and Openhab. Setting up a system to automate my balcony solar panels and energy storage has been both challenging and rewarding. It’s incredible how these devices can work together to create a seamless, energy-efficient setup. I’m still learning, but every small success feels like a victory! 
Looking ahead, I’m really excited about the possibilities with HomeKit and the new C-8 hub. The advanced presence detection and integration capabilities are something I can’t wait to dive into. Plus, the idea of syncing my devices through Hubitat feels like the perfect blend of flexibility and control. 
Overall, my journey into the world of smart home automation has been nothing short of transformative. Each device, each integration, and each challenge has brought me closer to creating the smart home of my dreams. I can’t wait to see what the future holds and how this amazing community will continue to innovate and inspire!
