Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. ![]()
First off, I’ve been experimenting with integrating multiple brands of devices into my ecosystem. For instance, I’ve got a mix of Govee underglow lights, Philips Hue lamps, and some Wyze cameras. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but the results are amazing! I recently set up a scene where the underglow lights pulse in sync with my Hue pendant lamps, creating this incredible ambiance for movie nights. If anyone has tips on how to make these integrations smoother, I’d love to hear them! ![]()

Another thing I’ve been thinking about is battery efficiency, especially with my Danfoss radiator thermostats. Each one seems to eat through a pair of AA batteries every six months, which adds up quickly. I came across an idea about adjusting the wake-up intervals based on the season or time of day. For example, during the summer, when we’re not using the heating much, I could set the thermostats to wake up less frequently to save battery life. Does anyone have experience with this kind of setup? It would be awesome to create a flow that automatically adjusts these settings based on the time of year or even our schedule. ![]()

On the topic of devices, I’ve been really impressed with the Govee 1200 LM RGBWW bulb that I recently tested. It’s incredibly bright and versatile, perfect for my moon lamp project! If anyone else is looking for a powerful bulb for creative lighting setups, I’d highly recommend giving this one a try. ![]()

Lastly, I wanted to ask about device alerts. I’ve noticed that sometimes my sensors show an error in the Homey app, but I don’t always catch it until I check manually. Is there a way to set up automatic alerts when a device goes into error mode? It would be so helpful to know right away if something’s not working properly. ![]()
