Recently, I came across some exciting news about Google Home adding full local control for Matter devices. This means that even without an internet connection, you can still control your smart devices through Google Assistant. It’s a game-changer for reliability, especially for those of us who’ve experienced the frustration of losing control during an outage. I’m hopeful that other platforms like Amazon and Govee will follow suit, as this seems like a crucial step forward for the industry.
