Solar Energy & Monitoring
One of our top priorities is sustainability. We’re planning to install a solar panel system on the roof to generate our own electricity. I’ve heard that it’s possible to track energy production and consumption in real-time, but I’m not sure which systems or apps would be best for this. Ideally, we’d like to see detailed metrics, not just overall usage but also a breakdown by room. Any recommendations or experiences you’ve had would be invaluable!
Climate Control & Flooring
We’re also looking into heating and cooling solutions. While a traditional forced-air system might not be feasible due to the house’s structure, we’ve come across electric floor heating. It sounds promising, but we’re not sure about its efficiency or how to integrate it into a smart home setup. Additionally, we’re considering installing smart thermostats for a couple of rooms.
