Exploring Smart Home Integration with Homey and Flic Buttons

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation with Homey and Flic buttons, and it’s been an exciting journey! :rocket: I recently stumbled upon a Flic Light button that I had forgotten about, and I’m eager to repurpose it for some fun automation tasks around the house. The idea is to use it to switch between inputs on my receiver and control some lights—sounds simple, but I’m curious about the possibilities!

I’ve been researching how to integrate the Flic button with Homey. From what I gather, Flic has a Linux SDK that might be useful, but I’m not entirely sure how to proceed. I’ve also come across some Raspberry Pi solutions, but I’m hoping there’s a more straightforward way to get started without diving too deep into programming.

One thing I’m particularly interested in is leveraging the Flic button’s three actions: single click, double click, and hold. I’d love to assign different functions to each action, but I’m not sure how to set that up within Homey. If anyone has experience with this or can point me in the right direction, I’d be super grateful!

On another note, I’ve been exploring the integration of Shelly devices into my setup. I’ve heard great things about their reliability and ease of use, especially for someone like me who’s still getting the hang of smart home tech. I’m curious if others have had success combining Shelly devices with Homey for more complex automations, like scene-based lighting or temperature control.

I’d also love to hear about your experiences with Wyze cameras. I’ve been using them for a while now, but I’ve noticed some quirks, like unexpected behavior during power outages. It’s a bit concerning, especially when it comes to privacy and security. Have you encountered similar issues, and if so, how did you work around them?

Lastly, I’m always on the lookout for tips and tricks to optimize my smart home setup. Whether it’s energy monitoring, device compatibility, or creating seamless automations, I’m eager to learn from the community’s experiences. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most of our smart homes! :handshake:
