I recently came across the Hubitat Elevation C8 on YouTube and decided to give it a try. My current setup includes a Hue bridge with numerous devices, but I’ve hit the device limit, making it difficult to add new devices without causing issues. I also have several Echos, including one with a built-in ZigBee hub, and I’ve set up many routines using Alexa. However, managing all these devices across different platforms has become quite confusing.
I’m curious to know if migrating to the Hubitat hub will allow me to eliminate the Hue bridge entirely. Can Hubitat handle everything the Hue bridge does, such as creating rooms and zones, controlling lights, and managing motion sensors? Will I end up with a mix of Hue, Alexa, and Hubitat devices, or can I consolidate everything under Hubitat? I’m also wondering about the benefits and limitations of this transition.
If anyone has experience integrating multiple platforms or has successfully transitioned to Hubitat, I’d love to hear your insights and tips. It would be great to know if this switch will simplify my setup or if I should expect any challenges along the way. Thanks in advance for your help!
