Hey everyone, I’m diving into the world of smart home integration and wanted to share my journey and ask for some advice! I’ve recently decided to upgrade my security and convenience systems, and I’m looking to incorporate a variety of sensors into my setup. I have smoke, CO, water, door, and motion sensors, and I’m aiming to create a seamless system that integrates all of these seamlessly.
I’ve heard great things about Hubitat and am considering making the switch from my current ADT Smartthings setup. One of the things I’m most excited about is being able to arm my system via Alexa, just like I do now. I also have a Ring doorbell and Blink cameras that I currently manage through IFTTT, so I’d love to know how to integrate those into the new system more efficiently.
Another feature I’m really looking forward to is having a touchscreen tablet for arming and disarming the system with a passcode. It would be amazing to have all these controls in one place, making it easy to manage my home’s security from anywhere in the house.
I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience setting up a similar system. What sensors and devices have worked well for you?
