I recently upgraded my home security setup with the Nuki Smart Lock 4 Pro, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer! However, I encountered a minor hiccup that I’d like to share and discuss with the community. The Problem Button on my Nuki lock stopped sending notifications to both the Nuki App and Home Assistant after a recent firmware update. This was a bit puzzling because everything worked seamlessly before the update. I’ve been using the Nuki - Home Assistant integration without any issues until now.
After some research, I discovered that this issue might be related to the Smart Lock Beta 4.2.4, 4.2.5, and 4.2.3 firmware versions. It seems like others have encountered similar problems, which suggests it might be a bug in the latest updates. I’m curious if anyone else has faced this and if there’s a workaround or a fix that’s been effective.
On a more positive note, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the integration capabilities of Home Assistant. The ability to seamlessly connect devices from different manufacturers and create a unified smart home ecosystem is truly remarkable. For instance, I’ve successfully linked my Nuki lock with my Philips Hue lighting system to automate my entryway lights based on whether the door is locked or unlocked.
I’d love to hear from others who have integrated multiple smart home devices. What challenges have you faced, and how did you overcome them? Have you found any particularly effective strategies or tools that make the integration process smoother? I’m always on the lookout for tips and tricks to enhance my smart home setup!
Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other troubleshoot and optimize our systems. Happy smart home experimenting! ![]()
