Hi everyone! I’m really excited to share my journey with integrating my smart home setup using OpenHAB and iCloud. As someone who’s just starting out, I’ve been trying to figure out how to make everything work seamlessly together. Specifically, I’ve been experimenting with presence detection using iCloud and controlling my Foscam R2 camera based on whether I’m at home or not.
I’ve managed to get the iCloud binding and the simple camera binding working on my Synology NAS with OpenHAB2. The next step is to set up some rules and sitemaps to automate the camera’s behavior. If anyone has tips or resources on scripting for this kind of integration, I’d love to hear them!
