Hi everyone, I’ve recently transitioned from HomematicIP to the Shelly 2PM Gen4 for my roller shutters, and I must say, the setup process was pretty smooth using the Shelly app. However, I’ve encountered an interesting issue with a few of my Shelly units. After switching to Zigbee firmware, I noticed that deactivating Bluetooth causes them to lose their WLAN connection entirely. This means I can’t even ping them, and I end up having to reset and reconfigure them, which is quite inconvenient.
I’ve tried updating one unit to firmware 1.7.1, and it seems to be working without issues now. I’m curious if others have faced a similar problem or if there’s a known bug related to this. Is it necessary to keep Bluetooth active when using the Zigbee firmware? I’d love to hear any insights or workarounds that could help me avoid resetting these devices frequently.
On a positive note, the integration of these devices into my smart home ecosystem has been seamless, and I’m excited to explore more features as I continue to set them up. If anyone has tips or experiences to share, I’d be grateful to hear them!
