I recently got my hands on a set of Third Reality plugs and have been experimenting with their logging functionality. It’s fascinating to see how these devices log their status every 3 minutes when text logging is enabled. I’m using the generic Zigbee outlet driver, and while the logging is consistent, I’m curious if there’s a way to reduce the frequency without affecting reliability.
Another project I’ve been working on is integrating Matter with my existing ZHA setup. I installed the Matter beta earlier and connected a smart plug via HomeKit, but I noticed some lingering issues. Today, while updating, I encountered an error that might be blocking the HAOS 11 installation. I’m wondering if uninstalling the Matter integration would resolve this without affecting my ZHA devices.
I’ve also been exploring the Hub Mesh feature after upgrading my hubs. It’s impressive how devices on one hub can be shared with another, but I’m puzzled why they don’t appear in the main device list. Refreshing the list doesn’t help, and apps referencing these devices still work. I’d love to hear if anyone else has faced this and how they resolved it.
Lastly, I stumbled upon Robbshop and their 3D-printable mounting brackets for Fibaro and Neo motion sensors. It’s a fantastic way to customize installations without relying on proprietary hardware. I’m planning to try this out soon and will share my experience.
If anyone has tips on optimizing logging, troubleshooting Matter/ZHA conflicts, or Hub Mesh setup, I’d greatly appreciate the insights!
