Exploring Smart Home Integration with WLED and Home Assistant

Recently, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! One of the most rewarding experiences has been integrating my WLED devices with Home Assistant. I came across a fantastic guide that showed how to set custom patterns, adjust brightness, and even control the effect speed and intensity directly from Home Assistant. It’s amazing how much control you can have over your lighting setup with just a few tweaks!

I decided to give it a try and set up a custom dashboard in Lovelace. The process involved creating some helper entities and configuring NodeRED flows, which was a bit challenging at first, but the results were worth it. Now, I can easily access all my WLED devices from a single card, and it’s so satisfying to see everything work seamlessly together.

Another thing I’m curious about is whether others have managed to integrate their WLED devices with temperature sensors. I’ve heard it’s possible with a custom firmware, but I’m not entirely sure how to go about it. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear your tips!

Overall, I’m thrilled with how my smart home setup is coming together. It’s projects like these that really make me appreciate the flexibility and creativity that smart home technology offers. Thanks to everyone in the community for sharing such valuable resources—I wouldn’t have gotten this far without you all! :star2:
